Rocco Cipparone has substantial litigation experience in complex criminal and civil cases, including high profile criminal cases that have received national and international media attention. His skillset in aggressively representing clients in complex high-stakes litigation and also managing an onslaught of media focus on cases (which without proper management also adds substantial pressure to clients) has been honed throughout his career beginning as a federal prosecutor in 1988 and continuing through the present. Some examples include representing the lead defendant a very high profile federal prosecution of a terrorism case referred to as the Fort Dix Six terrorism case; representing a NJ Police Chief charged with federal civil rights and hate crime violations through two trials resulting in hung juries and ultimately dismissal of those charges; representing three persons (not inter-related) in investigations and prosecutions of Jan. 6, 2021 at the U.S. Capitol; representation of politicians in federal tax, bribery and other types of cases; representing an attorney/pharmacist in a large scale federal prosecution and negotiating a dismissal of 11 felony charges and a guilty plea to 1 misdemeanor; representation of an electrical workers union official in a federal extortion prosecution resulting in a hung jury on 19 felony charges and then negotiating a guilty plea to 1 misdemeanor; and many others.
