Robert G. Stahl is an accomplished trial and appellate lawyer who is the founder of his New Jersey and Manhattan law firm, Law Offices of Robert G. Stahl. Mr. Stahl has 30 years of experience in the areas of white-collar criminal and regulatory matters. In 1997, after having served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey for almost 7 years, Mr. Stahl began his criminal defense practice. For the past 20 years, Mr. Stahl has defended white-collar and other significant criminal matters in federal courts around the country and state courts in New Jersey. Cases include a former college student charged both in the District of New Jersey and the District of Alaska with massive national and international cyber- attacks; a college student from Kazakhstan who was charged with obstruction in the Boston Marathon Bombing aftermath case; trial counsel in federal court in New Jersey for the lead defendant, a prominent rabbi charged with kidnapping to compel a religious divorce known as a get; a former police officer charged with murder; a pharmacist charged in the SDNY in connection with a massive internet-based pharmacy business; and physicians in DNJ, SDNY, and NDWVa charged with over-prescribing opioids, receiving kickbacks from vendors and upcoding violations. Mr. Stahl began his career as a law clerk to Federal District Court Judge John W. Bissell for the District of New Jersey. Mr. Stahl is a Certified Criminal Trial Attorney, a special designation by the New Jersey Supreme Court, and an active member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. As an AUSA, Mr. Stahl was a recipient of the Director’s Award and the John Marshall Award, both top national honors from the U.S. Department of Justice. Mr. Stahl graduated Seton Hall School of Law, magna cum laude.
