Mack Jenkins is Chief of the Criminal Division of the United States Attorneys Office in the Central District of California. He oversees seven criminal prosecution sections and supervises over 200 prosecutors. Mack previously served as Chief of the Public Corruption and Civil Rights Section. Mack led the sprawling public corruption investigation targeting Los Angeles City Hall. This prosecution led to the Districts first racketeering conviction of a Los Angeles elected official, resulting in a 13-year sentence for Jose Huizar; ten others were convicted for corruption-related offenses. Mack was also the lead prosecutor in the jury convictions of then sitting U.S. Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (reversed on appeal on venue grounds and now pending re-trial).
Mack has completed over 17 federal jury trials, including six RICO trials, multiple VICAR murder cases, plus corruption, civil rights, continuing criminal enterprise, and obstruction matters. He has argued before the Ninth Circuit over ten times. Mack has twice received the Attorney Generals Award, received the EOUSA Directors Award, has thrice received the California Lawyer of the Year Award, along with being named the FBAs Top Public Service Lawyer and a Top 100 Lawyer by the Daily Journal.
He is a graduate of Yale Law School and UCLA.
