Gary L. Cooper

I am an Idaho native. I graduated from the University of Idaho in 1972 and the University of Idaho College of Law in 1975. I have practiced in Pocatello since 1975. I currently serve on the Idaho State Bar Professional Conduct Board and the federal court District of Idaho Local Rules Committee. I am licensed in Idaho, Wyoming and Utah. I am also a member of three tribal court bars and am currently serving as a judge in the Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Court on the Fort Hall Reservation. I have been awarded the professionalism, service and distinguished lawyer awards by the Idaho State Bar. I have been lead counsel in 77 jury trials and have argued 44 appeals before the Idaho Supreme Court and several appeals before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the Utah Court of Appeals. My wife and I have been married for 48 years and we have three children and five grandchildren. I enjoy waterfowl hunting, elk hunting, fishing, hiking, cars, boats and being in the outdoors with my family..
