I have been a trial attorney for the past 35 years and have been blessed to meet and represent some wonderful people and families throughout those years. I am licensed in Tennessee and Arizona. During my that time, I’ve been honored to receive several awards and recognitions, including receiving 6 Lawyer of the Year Awards by Best Lawyers in America: 2022-Personal Injury; 2020, 2018, 2015 and 2012-Medical Malpractice and 2016 Product Liability – for Nashville, Tennessee.

In addition to being a FACTL, I am also a Fellow of The International Academy of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a past President of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association and Current President of the Nashville Bar Foundation.

I limit my practice to helping individuals and families with personal injury (car-bike-truck-motorcycle) and wrongful death claims, medical negligence and nursing home abuse matters.

Notable recent verdicts:
5 million dollar verdict on behalf of my client whose 22 month old died of an undiagnosed tick bite infection. The mother had taken her son to the doctor 4 days in a row, only to be sent home. The jury assessed 50% of fault against the pediatrician’s office, and 50% of the fault against the hospital.

A jury verdict for nearly 3 million dollars in a car wreck case. Defense had only offered $275,000. News reports state that this verdict was the largest car crash verdict in Rutherford County history. This is one of multiple record breaking verdicts that I have been a part of in my practice.

A 22.6 million dollar jury verdict – which was the largest medical malpractice verdict in Tennessee history for an individual person at that time. Randy Kinnard and I represented the plaintiff.
